Hey Everyone,
Today I decided to bake some brownies, but not your usual brownies. I had a friend that gave me a recipe for healthy brownies. Believe me they are healthy as they are only 37 kcls. I am a health freak and when I header about them I couldn’t say no to them. So tonight around 10 pm I went down to the kitchen and started to bake.Yes I am crazy as but this is the only way to bake and no one eats your ingredients when you turn around. Anyways the recipe include:
- ½ cup Truvia Baking Blend (or any natural/stevia based sweetener that pours like sugar)
- ¾ cup nonfat greek yogurt
- ¼ cup skim milk
- ½ cup Cocoa powder.
- ½ cup Old fashioned rolled oats (I used Quaker)
- 1 medium egg.
- 1 teaspoon baking powder.
- A pinch of salt.
How to mix everything up:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a square baking dish (I used 8″x8″).
- Mix all ingredients using a food processor or a blender, and blend until smooth (about 1 minute).
- Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Finally let them cool down completely before cutting.
From the ingredients above I was able to make 9 large pieces out of the recipe above. I could have made more if I had cut them smaller ‘might do tomorrow morning’.Once they were finished, I couldn’t bear the smell so I had to sneak a bite from one of them and they tasted delicious. People who know me know I am addicted to sweets and at the same time I want to stay healthy which makes eating sweets harder for me. By cooking this it was like someone from above gave me a sign. It is possible to eat sweets and stay healthy especially when eating these. As my diet consist of counting calories I had to count the ingredients. Shockingly the brownies are really 37 calories. Believe me.
If you enjoy being healthy or on a diet and crave something sweet I would diffidently try them.
Comment down below and tell me how your brownies turned out.
Xxx 🙂 -DJ
